People: Robert Half, NextPath Career Partners, Caldwell, HyreCar

Professional staffing firm Robert Half International Inc. (NYSE: RHI) elected Dirk Kempthorne to its board, effective Jan. 1. He currently serves on the independent advisory board of Robert Half’s Protiviti subsidiary and will remain on this advisory board until he assumes his role on the Robert Half board. Kempthorne has been president of consulting firm The Kempthorne Group since 2009. He was governor of Idaho from January 1999 until May 2006; from May 2006 to January 2009, he was US Secretary of the Interior.

NextPath Career Partners, a new boutique staffing firm in Tampa and Orlando, Fla., was opened by Founder and CEO James Hawley and President and Executive Advisor Dan Rodriguez. The business partners previously founded IT staffing company Veredus in 2000, which was acquired by Hays plc in 2014. The new firm provides contract, contract-to-hire, and permanent placement staffing to sectors including marketing, sales, human resources, recruiting, customer service and professional services such as consulting, leadership and management. Rodriguez had been serving as CEO of Hays US but earlier this year took the role of chairman of Hays US.

The Caldwell Partners International Inc. (TSX: CWL), a Toronto-based executive search firm, added oil and gas specialist Kenneth Baillie as a partner in the firm’s industrial practice, based in Houston. He has more than 15 years of executive search experience and joins Caldwell from an international executive search firm specializing in board and senior management appointments within the oil and gas and mining sectors.

HyreCar Inc. (NASD: HYRE) — a car-sharing platform for human cloud, ride-sharing drivers — appointed Henry Park as COO. He most recently was COO and head of marketing at SearchForce, a paid search and social media bid management platform for digital marketers; previously, Park was executive director of traffic acquisition at YP.com. HyreCare completed its IPO this summer.
