People: Phaidon, WinterWyman, Brightfield, Riviera, Caldwell, Heidrick

International specialist recruitment firm Phaidon International announced Managing Principal Consultant Taylor Hardy will lead a new EPM Scientific team in Boston to provide a physical presence to support the company’s client base in the region. It will initially provide talent to clients across the clinical operations, regulatory, quality, safety/pharmacovigilance, and research and development sectors.

Waltham Mass.-based WinterWyman Staffing promoted Chris Mitchell and Kelli McGrath to partners in its technology division. Mitchell, previously director of recruiting, will oversee the recruitment staff and will also be responsible for overall candidate delivery; he will also continue to manage recruiting teams in Boston, Waltham, Mass., and New York City, and run WinterWyman’s high-performance candidate desk. McGrath has been elevated to partner and manager for WinterWyman Staffing’s technology division, responsible for overseeing the recruitment staff in Waltham, Mass., and running the agency’s high-performance candidate desk. Both joined WinterWyman in 2010.

Brightfield Strategies, a human capital strategies consultancy and data services provider, added Greg Fenton as VP, consulting, to assess contingent workforce programs. Fenton previously was a VP at both TAPFIN/ ManpowerGroup Solutions and Fieldglass and also held executive roles at both Fieldglass and Taleo. And David Putt joined Brightfield Strategies as VP, partner sales, leading TDX sales activities for service providers such as MSPs and technology firms, and customizing solutions; he previously held executive positions at DCR Workforce and MBO Partners. Michael Campanale also joined as director, licensee accounts, focusing on TDX for service providers; Campanale most recently worked in a senior business development capacity at Prime Workforce and at IBM Kenexa, and also spent several years in business development and national accounts with Volt Information Sciences.

Riviera Partners, an IT recruiting firm, announced Alpha Advisors founder and managing partner Jeff Campbell joined the firm to lead its new Atlanta office. Campbell founded and built Alpha Advisors, a boutique search firm recruiting senior IT and quantitative talent for financial services and technology clients worldwide.

Executive search firm Caldwell Partners appointed Glenn Buggy to join Paul Heller as co-leader of the global financial services practice. Buggy joined Caldwell after 11 years at CTPartners. Heller joined Caldwell through the acquisition of Cromwell Partners in 2009. 

Executive search provider Heidrick & Struggles (NASD: HSII) appointed Doug Orr as principal in the industrial practice. He has a mix of search experience in the energy sector as well as more than a decade of service and leadership in the US Marine Corps.
