People: Orion Talent, The Mom Project, RGP, Spencer Stuart, American Staffing Association

Orion Talent, a provider of RPO and military hiring solutions, appointed Sarah Peiker as CEO. Peiker joins Orion talent from ManpowerGroup Talent Solutions where she led the company’s RPO practice and held senior leadership roles within its North American and EMEA RPO practices. Mike Starich, who had served as CEO of Orion since 2015, will transition to senior advisor.

The Mom Project named Saana Rapakko Hunt as chief product officer and Rocki Howard as chief people and equity officer. Hunt had served as head of core growth at Instagram. Howard brings years of experience to The Mom Project and was previously chief diversity officer at SmartRecruiters. Howard also has a podcast, “The Voices of Diversity.” The Mom Project is a career website that connects women with job opportunities. This month it announced an $80 million funding round.

Executive search firm Spencer Stuart named Lucy Lopez as general counsel and chief legal officer. Lopez takes over from Dave Rasmussen, who is retiring after 24 years with the firm. Lopez comes to Spencer Stuart after serving for more than two decades at McKinsey & Co., most recently as deputy general counsel and head of legal, Americas. She is based in New York.

RGP (NASDAQ: RGP) launched its digital talent platform Hugo by RGP and announced the Hugo team will be led by Stephen DelVecchia. It also announced Marcie Levy will be head of platform success and Gary Lee will be head of technology.

The American Staffing Association recently named its 2022 officers. They are:

  • Immediate past chairman: Joyce Russell, Adecco Group US Foundation
