People: Maxim, Training Associates, Fahrenheit IT, Lucas Group

Maxim Healthcare Services Inc., the fifth-largest US healthcare staffing firm, appointed two senior clinical leaders to its executive team. Chery Nelson, promoted to senior VP of clinical innovation and delivery, will focus on nursing advocacy and workforce development. Nelson joined Maxim in 2010 as VP of clinical operations for the West region before being promoted to senior VP of clinical operations in 2013. Melissa Fannin, promoted to senior VP of clinical operations, will assume the role of chief nursing officer in 2017. Fannin previously served as VP of clinical operations for Maxim’s mid-Atlantic region.

The Training Associates promoted Lynne Wagner to senior director of marketing programs, a new role within the firm, effective March 16. Wagner joined The Training Associates in 2007 as an advertising manager and was subsequently promoted to director of marketing programs. The Training Associates provides learning and development consultants for IT and professional business skills training.

Fahrenheit IT, a division of Global Employment Solutions, announced Bob Quinn and Chance Davis joined the company as regional directors, effective May 2. Quinn will oversee the launch of Fahrenheit IT in Florida, with the initial office located in Tampa, and report to President Wayne Cavanaugh. Quinn, since 2011, served as senior account executive and managing director for Digital Intelligence Systems LLC. Davis, most recently a managing director at Kforce Inc. (NASD: KFRC), will be based in Denver and oversee the Dallas and Denver markets for Fahrenheit IT. He reports to VP Michael Sousa.

Lucas Group, an Atlanta-based executive search firm, promoted Nick Buffini to managing partner. Buffini joined Lucas Group in 2015 as a senior partner.
