People: Maxim, BelFlex, LandrumHR, Heidrick, StaffDNA and more

Maxim Healthcare Services, which ranks as the ninth-largest US healthcare staffing firm, appointed Kellie Lanier as senior VP of clinical operations and part of the executive team. Lanier joined Maxim in 2007 as clinical supervisor for the Wilmington, NC, office and has since held multiple leadership roles throughout the company. Lanier replaces Cheryl Nelson in the role, who is transitioning into a part-time role focused on project-based clinical initiatives.   

BelFlex Staffing Network, a light industrial staffing agency, promoted Marketing Manager Jay Clawson to director of operations, a new position for the organization. Clawson, who joined BelFlex in 2012, will now oversee and manage many of BelFlex’s operational programs including the call center and onsite support team, and continue leading marketing and social media strategy for the company. He will also develop initiatives to improve overall performance in all of BelFlex’s 28 branch offices. Clawson will report to COO Andrew Deutsch.

LandrumHR, a Pensacola, Fla.-based PEO and staffing firm, added two members to its management team: Kara Bloomberg as VP of operations and J. Martin “Marty” Stubblefield as client relations manager. Bloomberg's primary responsibilities include managing benefit options for LandrumHR clients, strategic planning and directing the operations of the company. She is also responsible for growth strategies as the company expands its operations throughout the Southeast. Stubblefield is responsible for relationships with the organization's top clients. His career background includes 15 years with AmSouth Bank, five years as state president and division director for Hancock Bank, three years as the deputy secretary for administration with the Florida Department of Health, and several leadership roles with BB&T and Ameris Bank.

Executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles International Inc. (NASD: HSII) appointed Adam Warby to its board of directors. Warby is CEO of Avanade, a provider of innovative digital and cloud services delivered through the Microsoft ecosystem.

StaffDNA announced Stephen Gillem and Frank Urso joined company as VPs to lead the VMS/MSP solutions it launched earlier this year. As members of StaffDNA’s senior leadership team, they report to CEO Sheldon Arora. Gillem and Urso have a combined 40-plus years of senior management and strategy experience, largely for the healthcare industry; Gillem previously led teams at Broadlane and later MedAssets, while Urso has led national sales teams in providing software and services for Henry Ford Health System and Cleveland Clinic.

StevenDouglas, a national executive search firm, expanded into Canada with a new Toronto office and announced Navinder Binning joined the firm’s leadership team as VP to lead the executive search business in the Canadian region.  David Mauger also joined StevenDouglas as a director of technology search and will lead the IT search practice in the Atlanta market.

Executive search firm Korn Ferry International Inc. (NYSE: KFY) announced Dan Kaplan joined the firm’s chief human resources officer practice. Deepali Vyas joined Korn Ferry’s financial services practice as a senior client partner. Akihiro Mishima also joined the firm as a senior client partner.

Kingsley Gate Partners, a global executive search firm, announced Victor Kleinman joined the company as a senior partner. Kleinman most recently was executive VP and managing director of the life sciences practice at DHR International.

Daley And Associates LLC, an executive search and contract staffing firm, named Alexandra Powell as division manager for its new life sciences division.

Executive search firm Russell Reynolds Associates announced Hoda Tahoun joined the firm in the consumer practice as a leader of the leisure and hospitality team.
