People: MDstaffers, Malone Workforce Solutions, ShiftPixy, Symphony Talent

MDstaffers, a Rancho Cordova, California-based healthcare staffing provider, named COO Ryan Larkin as its president and CEO effective Jan. 1. Larkin succeeds Tyler Covey, who will continue to serve on the company’s board as chairman. Larkin joined MDstaffers in 2015 and has been the COO since 2019. He was featured on SIA's “North America 40 Under 40” list in 2020. 

Malone Workforce Solutions appointed Joshua Johnston as the president of healthcare and government divisions effective Dec. 19. Johnston brings more than 16 years of experience to the company and will report to Malone Workforce Solutions CEO Dawn Meyers. Malone Workforce Solutions has 46 offices in 36 states.

ShiftPixy Inc. (NASDAQ: PIXY) announced Treasurer and interim CFO Manuel Rivera resigned from the roles effective Dec. 16. ShiftPixy intends to outsource the position’s responsibilities as needed until a suitable replacement is found. Rivera joined ShiftPixy in 2021 as the VP of accounting and was promoted to the roles of treasurer and acting CFO in May following the resignation of Domonic Carney. Miami-based ShiftPixy operates both as an employment administrative services provider and staffing provider that focuses on the restaurant and hospitality industry as well as the healthcare industry.

Symphony Talent, a global recruitment marketing technology and creative services firm, announced the addition of four executives. Perry Steinberg joins Symphony Talent as chief product officer, bringing over 26 years of experience leading product and business development for SaaS companies. He will lead product management, UX, and engineering teams for Symphony Talent Recruitment Marketing Platform. Roy Wood joins the executive team as chief customer officer, leading global implementation, support, customer success and creative studio teams. Bryce Ashcraft, who has nearly 20 years of experience as a strategic leader, will become Symphony Talent’s chief people officer. In addition, Greg Blodgett is joining Symphony Talent as support and integrations vice president, leading the global customer care team and integration efforts. He brings more than 26 years of experience with global HR technology brands.
