People: Hire Velocity, MDI, CrowdFlower, DLH and more

Recruitment process outsourcing provider Hire Velocity added Sarah Haskin to its leadership team as enterprise sales executive, effective Monday. Reporting to CEO Jennifer Beck, she oversees relationships with key accounts and manages projects and collaborative team efforts to meet sales goals. Haski previously served as VP of national accounts for TRC Staffing Services Inc.; she has also served as practice director of national accounts at Corestaff/Impellam North America and VP of operations at Guidant Group/Impellam North America.

IT staffing provider MDI Group appointed Matt DeLorenzo to VP, strategic accounts and workforce solutions. He most recently was lead alliances and business development for Point B, a management consulting company based in Seattle. Prior to this, he held leadership and sales positions in multiple markets for Experis, Ajilon, Randstad, Triangle Technology and Decision Consultants.

CrowdFlower, a crowd-sourcing platform provider in the online staffing space, added three new artificial intelligence industry experts. Robert Munro joined as VP of machine learning; he most recently was principal product manager for Amazon AI products, leading the development for its first natural language processing services in the deep learning team. Monica Rogati and Adrian Weller joined CrowdFlower’s scientific advisory board, where they will advise on the developing science of artificial intelligence and provide input to the company’s technology and product strategy. Rogati works with dozens of companies as a data science and AI advisor and previously was VP of data at Jawbone. Weller is a senior research fellow in the machine learning group at the University of Cambridge, an executive fellow at the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence, and a faculty fellow at the Alan Turing Institute for data science.

DLH Holdings Corp. (NASD: DLHC), a provider of healthcare and logistics staffing and solutions to the US government, appointed James Allen to its board of directors. He has worked for more than 40 years as a senior financial executive in the aerospace, defense, and federal government IT services industries. He previously was executive VP and CFO of Global Defense Technology & Systems Inc. (now known as Sotera Defense Solutions Inc.).

Executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles International Inc. (NASD: HSII) added Mike Theilmann as a partner. Based in the Dallas office, he will primarily focus on CEO, board director and senior executive placements. Theilmann previously was managing director for a family office, where he oversaw venture capital investments that applied disruptive technologies in the consumer sector. Prior to that, he served as group executive VP at J.C. Penney and in multiple human resources executive roles at Yum Brands.

True Search, a global executive search firm, named Austin Krissoff to lead its new cybersecurity practice from the Boston office. He most recently was a search consultant at two other global retained firms, where he placed chief information security officers and built international security teams. Krissoff previously worked at a venture-backed cyber security startup and is a former US Marine Corps captain, having served overseas as a human intelligence advisor and platoon commander.
