People: Hire Dynamics, DHI, SIA, Nextaff, SHRM, Proskauer

Hire Dynamics, an Atlanta-based industrial staffing firm, expanded Jon Neff’s role to include COO, a new position within the firm. Effective Feb. 19, Neff oversees the company’s growth and culture within its Southeastern US footprint. Neff has served as Hire Dynamics’ CFO since co-founding the company in 2001 and will retain this role moving forward.

DHI Group Inc. (NYSE: DHX), the parent company of job board Dice.com, hired Paul Farnsworth as its new chief technology officer. Farnsworth will join DHI’s executive team and report directly to CEO Art Zeile. Prior to joining DHI, Farnsworth was CTO at Reed Group; he previously was senior VP of Level 3 Communications.  

Staffing Industry Analysts promoted Dawn McCartney to VP of Contingent Workforce Strategies Council. McCartney, who joined SIA in 2012, will lead SIA’s CWS Council and SIA’s Certification & Training, including the Certified Contingent Workforce Professional accreditation program and CW Workshops. Peter Reagan was promoted to senior director of contingent workforce strategies; he joined SIA in 2015 and will continue to develop and manage the EMEA and APAC regions, and provide expertise in the Americas region in key areas. Kersten Buck was promoted to VP, global strategic solutions; she joined SIA in 2011 and will expand her focus on emerging products that augment SIA’s reach and impact.

Nextaff, the franchised staffing agency division of Malone Workforce Solutions, announced Adam Dehaybi opened its first office in Sacramento, Calif., on Feb. 4. Syed Hussaini opened its first office in Detroit on Jan. 28; it will target all industries in Greater Detroit.

RPO provider Hudson Global Inc. (NASD: HSON) appointed Mimi Drake and Connia Nelson as new independent directors to its board. Drake is co-CEO of Permit Capital Advisors; Nelson is senior VP and CHRO for LifeWay. 

The Society for Human Resource Management, the US association for HR professionals, announced President and CEO Johnny C. Taylor, Jr., was named to the American Workforce Policy Advisory Board by the US Department of Commerce.

International law firm Proskauer announced Kate Gold joined as a partner in its labor and employment department, resident in the Los Angeles office.
