People: Global PEO Services; Beacon Hill; Pridestaff; Major, Lindsey & Africa; and more

Professional services firm Global Upside Inc. announced Adam Sheffield joined its newly launched company, Global PEO Services, as president. He previously was VP, global sales at ADP (NASD: ADP). Sheffield will lead the strategy and sales for Global PEO Services, while Global Upside CEO Ragu Bhargava will serve as CEO of his second venture as well.

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, headquartered in Boston, announced Karina Rigano will lead its new office in Parsippany, NJ, its 53rd location. The new office opens with Beacon Hill Technologies, Beacon Hill's IT staffing division.

PrideStaff, a national staffing franchise, announced Philip Page opened a new office in Jacksonville Southeast, Fla., on May 15.

Legal search firm Major, Lindsey & Africa announced Partner and VP Miriam Frank will lead its new service offering — legal talent management consulting. Managing Director Barrett Avigdor will work with her. Separately, the firm announced Richard Hsu joined the firm as a managing director in the partner practice group, based in its San Francisco office.

Executive search firm ZRG Partners announced Steve Banks will lead its new office in London as managing director and UK country head. Banks previously served as managing partner for a midsized UK search firm, as well as owned his own boutique search firm.

Penrhyn International, an international network of retained executive search firms, announced Yanouk Poirier will lead its new global technology, media and telecoms practice group. Poirier is managing partner of Montreal-based Leaders International.

Retained executive search firm Focus Search Partners, A Vaco company, announced Richard D'Antoni joined the firm as managing partner of the healthcare practice as well as the private equity practice across all industry sectors.

Executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles International Inc. (NASD: HSII) appointed Elizabeth Simpson as head of New York City financial services, expanding on her current role as a partner in the financial services practice.

Korn Ferry International Inc. (NYSE: KFY) announced Richard Kantor joined the firm as senior client partner and global solutions architect. He will be a member of the global leadership team for the rewards and benefits solutions practice. Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Kantor was a partner and global leader of Ernst & Young’s reward practice.
