People: Crowdstaffing, Kinetix, MRINetwork, Phaidon, AtWork Group, Medix, IDR and more

Crowdstaffing, a hiring marketplace and technology platform headquartered in San Jose, Calif., announced Scott Giroux joined the company as VP of operations. Giroux most recently was on the executive team of Volt Workforce Solutions, where he led North American staffing operations.

Kinetix, a recruitment process outsourcing firm headquartered in Atlanta, added Laura Eaton as VP of client advocacy for a portfolio of its RPO and employer branding clients. Eaton has more than 25 years of talent management experience, the last six as a portfolio executive at IBM Talent Acquisition Optimization. Prior to IBM, she held leadership positions at FutureStep and Recruitment Enhancement Services.

MRINetwork franchise Protis Global announced Samantha Ford joined the executive search and advisory firm as senior VP of business development. Ford, who has 20 years of experience working on Wall Street, will head a new location in San Francisco focused entirely on recruitment within the cannabis industry.

Phaidon International Group announced Elliott Milton, head of Texas and the South regions, will lead a new Dallas office of Selby Jennings, its brand targeting the financial services industry. The office will focus specifically on the emerging investment management and private equity markets in the area.

AtWork Group, a national staffing franchise, announced US Army veteran Michael Miller opened its new office in Columbia, SC. The office will provide temporary, temp-to-hire, and full-time placements to the clerical and light industrial industries in the greater Columbia area and Richland County.

Medix promoted Chris Coon to sales manager to lead its new office in Seattle. Coon joined Medix in 2012 as a personnel consultant and most recently was an account executive in Chicago. Medix is headquartered in Chicago and provides scientific, healthcare and IT staffing.

IDR Inc., an IT staffing firm headquartered in Atlanta, announced VP Danny Roberge will lead its new staffing and recruiting office in Denver. Roberge has eight years of experience in staffing.

Executive search provider Heidrick & Struggles (NASD: HSII) appointed San Francisco-based Partner Scott Atkinson to lead its venture capital practice. He takes over the role from Rebecca Foreman Janjic, who earlier this year was named the global practice managing partner for the firm’s global technology and services practice. 

Executive search firm Korn Ferry International Inc. (NYSE: KFY) announced Jeff Durr joined the firm as senior client partner in its healthcare advisory practice. Durr most recently was a partner in the analytics and advisory practice at Gallup; prior to that, he held operations management roles at Stryker Corp. He is based in Korn Ferry’s Atlanta office.
