People: Cognizant, Healthcare IT Leaders, Raines, Seyfarth Shaw, Ironside HR, Talent Solutions, Lucid Services Group, Claro Analytics, Spherion

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp.’s Chief People Officer Rebecca “Becky” Schmitt stepped down from her role at the global IT services firm to pursue external opportunities, The Economic Times reported, citing an internal email from Chief Executive S Ravi Kumar. Kathy Diaz, senior VP of rewards and HR mergers and acquisitions, will serve as the interim CPO. Kumar said the global IT services firm is looking at both internal and external candidates to replace Schmitt.

Healthcare IT Leaders, a provider of IT consulting and professional services for the healthcare industry, hired Ben Hilmes as its president. Hilmes spent 22-plus years in varied leadership roles at Cerner Corp., including senior VP — client relationships. Healthcare IT Leaders founder Bob Bailey will continue in his role of chairman of the board and CEO, transitioning the company's day-to-day operations to Hilmes.

Executive search firm Raines International added Joe Hartsig as a managing director; he will lead its retail practice and is based in the Chicago office. Hartsig has more than 30 years of experience in the retail and consumer goods sector, most recently serving as chief merchandising officer at Bed Bath & Beyond and president of Harmon Stores.

Law firm Seyfarth Shaw LLP announced Sul Kim joined the firm as a partner in its Labor & Employment department in its Labor Management Relations Practice Group, based in Atlanta. Her practice covers matters involving traditional labor law, wage and hour, employment training and compliance, employment litigation and workplace safety and health. Kim most recently was a partner at Akerman.

Ironside Human Resources, a national healthcare staffing firm based in Dallas, announced three promotions to leadership positions. Albert Cox was named executive VP, leading all sales and recruiting functions for Ironside HR; Cox had served as the company’s VP of recruiting since 2018. Hannah Swei was promoted to VP of operations; Swei most recently was the director of corporate services and brand management. Abdul Bannat was promoted to director of recruitment; he most recently served as senior recruiter and will be working closely with Cox.

Talent Solutions, the advisory and embedded talent acquisition line of Talent, announced Cameron Robinson joined the company as enterprise sales lead. He will work closely with Managing Director Tom Mackintosh to grow the RPO business and build out the MSP function. Robinson most recently was global head of client solutions at Expert360. Talent provides technology contractors and permanent recruitment, tech project delivery and support services, and design and building of embedded talent acquisition functions.

Lucid Services Group appointed Alyssa Dodds as its new president. Dodds joined the Indianapolis-based organization in 2017 as a senior recruiter and most recently served as the company’s VP of recruiting and delivery. Lucid provides staffing to the IT, engineering, life sciences, healthcare and federal services sectors.

Claro Analytics, a WilsonHCG company, added Marc Mapes as VP of partnerships, responsible for building strategic partnerships and driving business growth. Mapes has more than a decade of experience in HR technology and has worked at ZoomInfo, Monster, Lumesse and Avature. He also founded a software company. WilsonHCG last year acquired Claro Analytics, which provides analytics on salaries, talent location and availability.

Spherion Staffing and Recruiting announced Mai Vang as the owner of its new office in Roseville, Minnesota, to serve the hiring needs in Twin Cities North. She opened the new location on April 3. Vang has recruiting experience and served as a human resources generalist, HR consultant and director of operations for 12 years with a local home care agency.
