People: Cejka, Heidrick, Chartwell, Training Associates and more

Cejka Executive Search, the healthcare executive and physician search division of Cross Country Healthcare Inc. (NASD: CCRN), broadened its management team. It added four industry executives who will serve as regional VPs for the company’s physician search division:

  • John Elffers: Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky and Tennessee
  • Jill Hickey: Illinois, Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri and Arkansas
  • Thomas Hoecker: Utah, Nevada, Arizona and California
  • David Pierce: North Carolina, South Carolina, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Florida

Additionally, Mary Farho joined Cejka Search as a physician and advanced practice search consultant. Sandra Chavez joined the company from NorthShore University HealthSystem Medical Group as a physician and advanced practice consultant, and search expert Sheri (Reese) Brower was hired as a manager of business development.

Executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles International Inc. (NASD: HSII) named Bonnie Gwin and Jeff Sanders as co-managing partners of the firm’s global CEO and board practice, which advises companies on succession planning, talent management, board effectiveness and culture shaping, and also places directors and CEOs. Gwin, based in New York, previously served as managing partner of the firm's board practice in North America. Sanders, who joined Heidrick & Struggles in 1997, is co-located in the New York and San Francisco offices and has led the firm’s North American CEO practice for the past eight years. 

Chartwell Staffing Solutions, a staffing provider based in Lancaster, Penn., hired Sandra Riniker as regional VP, effective Feb. 18. Riniker manages all operations as well as profit and loss responsibility in California, Washington, Colorado, Nevada and Utah. She also works to grow Chartwell’s teams. Riniker has nine years of staffing experience and most recently was area VP of Washington and Oregon for Randstad.

The Training Associates hired Jason Murphy as VP of learning strategy. A human capital development leader with more than 25 years of experience, Murphy also created an extensive suite of human capital services and programs. Based in Westborough, Mass., The Training Associates provides learning and development consultants for information technology and professional business skills training.

Oasis Outsourcing, a professional employer organization based in West Palm Beach, Fla., hired Tracey Cartee as district manager to lead its new office in Nashville, Tenn.

Executive search firm Boyden appointed Brian Bachand as a new partner in the firm’s Toronto office. He has more than 15 years of experience in the advancement and philanthropic communities in Canada and the US, and particular expertise in senior board development, including recruitment and management.  Bachand joins Boyden from the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine, where he led the Office of Advancement.

Russell Tobin, a division of Pride Global, appointed Daniel Ecker as director of creative services in the New York office. Ecker has more than nine years of experience providing staffing solutions for direct hire and freelance talent. Pride Global companies provide services including vendor management, payroll programs, business process optimization, and staffing for both direct hire and contingent labor. It is headquartered in New York with operating companies throughout the US, Canada, India and Brazil.

Executive search firm Quick Leonard Kieffer announced Patricia “Patti” Hall joined the firm as a managing partner, responsible for leading the expansion of QLK's life sciences­­­ practice. She has more than 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device and consumer health and wellness sectors.
