Cejka Executive Search, the healthcare executive and physician search division of Cross Country Healthcare Inc. (NASD: CCRN), announced Mark Madden joined the firm as executive VP, managing principal, to lead executive search services for senior healthcare executive positions. Madden has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare recruitment for C-suite executives, physician executives, medical group practices and senior services administrators. 

Bullhorn, a supplier of software to staffing firms, named Brian Sylvester as its new CFO to oversee global financial and accounting functions as well as financial strategy and operations. Sylvester succeeds Paul Deeley in the role. Sylvester has been Bullhorn’s finance VP and controller for the past three years, leading the day-to-day operations of the global finance department. Prior to Bullhorn, he was corporate controller for Cambridge, Mass.-based software firm Pegasystems.

The Midtown Group, a recruiting firm in Washington DC, appointed several executives. Chairman of the board of advisors David Fout is an entrepreneur, business executive, and investor with more than 25 years of business, technology and federal government experience. Executive VP Jim Boyd for the past five years was executive VP at Convergenz. Senior Controller Patrick Smith most recently spent three years as a controller on Aerotek Inc.’s finance team. Director of Recruiting Jeni Atlan most recently was director of legal recruiting at TrustPoint International.

CyberSN, a Boston-based staffing company targeting the cybersecurity sector, announced Jason DeAmato joined the firm as VP of sales training. He most recently was director of sales training at Education First.

The Bowdoin Group, a recruitment firm headquartered in Waltham, Mass., added three professionals from the Boston office of a global executive search firm. Kirk Bukowski joins as VP; he previously was national managing partner, responsible for leading the North American executive search practice. Brad Bauer, also joining as a VP, was a founding partner of his prior firm’s executive search practice; prior to that, he was president and CEO at Bird Dog Executive Search. And Jeff Harris joined Bowdoin as director; his last position was principal in the executive retained search practice and before that, he was managing partner at Monument Executive Search.
