The Caldwell Partners (TSX: CWL.TO), a Toronto-based executive search firm with operations in Canada, the US and Europe, this week appointed Chris Beck as chief operating and financial officer. This is a new role that encompasses all financial and investor relations functions, as well as providing day-to-day leadership and management. Beck joined Caldwell in early 2013 as CFO and corporate secretary; prior to joining Caldwell Partners, he was CFO, treasurer and corporate secretary of transportation services company BirdDog. Beck remains based in Boston.

Lofton Staffing & Security Services appointed Kaydee Parich as area manager of the Lofton location in Lafayette, La. Parich has more than 15 years of professional marketing and recruiting experience, including 10 years as division director/staffing manager for Robert Half International (NYSE: RHI). Lofton, headquartered in Baton Rouge, La., provides consulting, staffing, security, energy and medical staffing services.

Diversified Search, announced Dr. Steven Altschuler joined the Philadelphia-based executive search firm as a senior advisor. He will specialize in academic medicine within Diversified’s healthcare services practice. Altschuler most recently served as executive VP for health affairs at the University of Miami, and CEO of UHealth, the University of Miami health system. In addition, he was CEO of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia from 2000 to 2015.

StevenDouglas, a national executive search firm, announced Rocio Rodriguez joined the firm as client service director within its technology staffing and consulting division. Rodriguez will focus on Miami-Dade County. Rodriguez has more than 10 years’ experience in professional services career and previously worked at a large IT staffing firm.

Centennial Inc., an executive search and talent management services provider, announced Brenda Gumbs joined the company as executive strategist. She is a 13-year client of Centennial in her former HR role as executive VP of people and culture at a worldwide confectionary company. Centennial is based in Cincinnati with additional offices in Manhattan.
