All Star Healthcare Solutions named Mike Peterson as chief information officer and promoted Jonathan Simon to divisional VP, information technology. Peterson brings more than 30 years of experience in IT, much of it within the healthcare staffing industry. Simon had joined the company in 2016 and most recently served as senior director, IT. All Star Healthcare specializes in locum tenens and physician direct hire.

Glassdoor appointed Danny Guillory as chief people officer. Guillory brings more than 30 years of experience in recruitment and diversity, equity and inclusion. He most recently served as VP, chief diversity officer and interim chief people officer at Dropbox. Earlier, he was head of global diversity and innovation at Autodesk. He will be based in San Francisco.

Global staffing firm Hays plc announced that Paul Venables retired as director effective Sept. 30 after 16 years. As was earlier announced, James Hilton succeeded Venables as group finance director. Additionally, Hays announced Zarin Patel is joining its board as an independent nonexecutive director effective Jan. 1, 2023. Patel will be a member of the audit, remuneration and nomination committees. Patel is a chartered accountant who spent 16 years at KPMG followed by nine years as CFO of the BBC. He also served as chief operating officer of The Grass Roots Group plc.

Staffing franchisor AtWork announced its new office in Gastonia, North Carolina, is operated by Market Manager Don Monteith. In addition, the company reported its new office in Corpus Christi, Texas, is operated by Market Manager Karen Barnes. Also, AtWork said its new office in East Columbia, South Carolina, is operated by franchise owner David Walker.

BrightStar Care, a home care and medical staffing franchise, promoted Andrew “Andy” Ray to chief operating officer, effective Oct. 17. As part of the transition, Ray’s two Arizona franchise locations — in Mesa and Gilbert — will be acquired by the BrightStar-owned organization.

Quad M Solutions, a Garland, Texas-based staffing firm, appointed Yakov Kogan as chief operating officer. Kogan has a doctorate and has co-founded and served as COO and CEO of several biotechnology and management consulting firms.

Jeff Gonzalez is the new owner of the Spherion Staffing and Recruiting’s Coachella Valley and Temecula offices in Southern California. Gonzalez took over ownership from previous franchise owners Veronica and Richard Moyse.

Executive search firm Boyden announced several new leaders. Helga Kayser-Dörr, managing partner in Germany, was appointed global leader of Boyden’s industrial practice. She was co-leader of the firm’s industrial manufacturing subsector for four years. Jutta Menzenbach was named co-leader of the global industrial practice and continues her leadership of Boyden’s global automotive subsector. Elizabeth Garforth, partner in France, was appointed co-leader of the aerospace and defense subsector with Paul Marshall. Catherine Van Alstine, managing partner in Canada, was named global subsector leader, mining and primary materials.

Access Capital Inc., an independent lender to the staffing and other industries, named Sandra Herrera as senior collateral analyst. Herrera has more than 25 years of experience and will be based in Chicago.
