Advanced Resources, a Chicago staffing agency, announced Curry Nichols recently joined its leadership team as managing director of the technology division to lead Advanced Resources' expansion into Dallas. Nichols has nearly two decades of experience in the IT staffing industry, most recently as a VP at DISYS, where he ran the high-tech vertical. Advanced Resources also announced that Mike Lonnay will join its leadership team as director of the company’s finance division. Lonnay has almost a decade of experience in the staffing industry and previously served as a branch manager at the Addison Group, where he opened and managed a new branch in New York.

The Adecco Group, the world’s largest staffing firm, announced shareholders attending its annual general meeting on Thursday confirmed the following board members for a further term of one year: Chairman Rolf Dörig, Jean-Christophe Deslarzes, Alexander Gut, Didier Lamouche, David Prince, Wanda Rapaczynski and Kathleen Taylor. Additionally, Ariane Gorin was elected as member of the board of directors for a one-year term. Thomas O’Neill and Dominique-Jean Chertier did not stand for re-election.

PrideStaff, a national staffing franchise, announced Daan and Nieke Renssen in February opened a new office in Ventura County, Calif. Also, Chris Rupp sold the San Diego PrideStaff office to Thomas Young, effective March 10.

Collabera, an IT staffing firm, announced David Hughes is heading its new executive search practice division, Collabera Search Partners. This new division partners with private equity start-ups, SMB and midmarket organizations on their CxO- and VP-level retained and contained searches. Hughes had more than 12 years of expertise in the executive search industry.

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, headquartered in Boston, announced Christine Obercian will lead its new Beacon Hill Pharma office, which opened in King of Prussia, Pa. Beacon Hill Pharma is the firm’s clinical research/life sciences specialty division. Obercian has almost 20 years of experience within the life sciences industry; prior to joining Beacon Hill Pharma, she developed and managed a clinical research service division of an international company.

IT and life sciences staffing firm Eliassen Group announced Branch Director Nate Kamp is responsible for the expansion and growth within the National Capital market and leads its Reston, Va., office, which recently relocated to accommodate expansion.

Star Staffing, a Northern California staffing provider, announced Regional Manager Letty Smith will head up a new office in Lodi, Calif., its seventh location. Smith also oversees the Napa and Fairfield offices for Star and has been in the staffing industry for more than 16 years.

Executive search firm Korn Ferry International Inc. (NYSE: KFY) announced Virginia Bowden joined the firm as senior client partner, strategic accounts retail and consumer goods industry sector. Bowden most recently was a partner and Philadelphia region market leader at Aon Hewitt. Prior to that, she was a client relationship manager at Towers Watson. Bowden will be based in Korn Ferry’s Philadelphia office.

Executive search firm Russell Reynolds Associates announced six consultants comprise its new board and CEO advisory group, a new division within the firm:

• Justus O'Brien: Co-leader of the board and CEO advisory group and managing director in the New York office
• Charles Tribbett III: Co-leader of the board and CEO advisory group and managing director in the Chicago office
• Constantine Alexandrakis: Leader of the firm’s US business and the global leadership and succession practice and a managing director in the Chicago office
• Margot McShane: Former co-lead of the global consumer digital practice and a managing director in the San Francisco office.
• Jack “Rusty” O’Kelley III: Global head of the board consulting and effectiveness practice and a managing director in the New York office.
