The American Staffing Association elected its 2019 board of directors during the organization’s Staffing World 2018 show this week in Washington, DC. Representatives from independent firms and national companies serve three-year terms on the board.

The board-elected officers:

• First vice chairman: Leo Sheridan, Advanced Group
• Second vice chairman: Peter Quigley, Kelly Services Inc.
• Treasurer: Chris Hartman, Allegis Group

Calian Group Ltd. (TSX: CGY), which ranks among Canada’s largest staffing providers, reported Kevin Ford has resumed full duties as president and CEO following a temporary health setback. Ford in April suffered a cardiovascular event over the Easter weekend. 

IT staffing provider Digital Intelligence Systems LLC, or DISYS, promoted its long-time sales leader, Arthur Levitt, to VP of strategic accounts and MSP alliances. He joined DISYS in 2009 and created its strategic accounts and MSP alliances teams. In 2016, he chartered what is now DISYS’ centralized delivery team, creating a business unit that positions DISYS in the contingent labor space.

Cordia Resources, a Washington, DC, recruiting and consulting/staffing firm serving finance and accounting and human resources professionals, announced Veronica Vannoy joined the firm as director of marketing and communications. Vannoy most recently was director of marketing at BLR Holdings Inc, overseeing the marketing efforts for its three companies: The BOSS Group, Cella and Proposal Development Consultants. 

CSuite Financial Partners, which places financial management executives, added Kelly Anderson to its management team as managing partner, Orange County, Calif. Anderson has been a partner at CSuite for three years with expertise in public companies, tech startups, private equity-backed, family owned and entrepreneurial companies. 

PageGroup plc, a UK-based staffing provider with global operations, announced that independent, nonexecutive director Michelle Healy will remain on the board, but she has taken on a new role outside of PageGroup. Healy is joining Kerry Group plc, an Ireland-based food company, as chief HR officer effective Nov. 12. Healy presently serves as chief people and culture officer at ISS World Services A/S.
