Firms hiring and promoting industry executives this week are Alku, Magnit, MPLT Healthcare, Impellam Group, AMS, FieldLink, Uniti, Avionté, ClearEdge, AtWork, StevenDouglas, ZRG and Acre.

Alku, which ranks among the largest and fastest-growing US staffing firms, named Jon Kujala as its first chief operating officer. Kujala started as the company’s third employee and first-ever recruiter in 2009. He moved to the director of recruiting role in 2014, and his most recent previous role was as senior VP overseeing Alku’s operational sectors. Kujala in his new position will work closely with President Andrew Bull and CFO Marc Cirrone.

MSP and VMS provider Magnit announced Doug Barnett has joined the company as CFO. Barnett brings more than 20 years of experience in executive roles within the tech and software sectors. Most recently, he spent four years as the executive VP and CFO at Sabre Corp. Barnett has also served as executive VP and CFO of Informatica and TriZetto Corp. as well as CFO of UGS.

MPLT Healthcare, a provider of locum tenens and physician and advanced practice direct-hire staffing, promoted Liz Hale to CEO. Hale previously held the positions of senior VP and president of MPLT Healthcare. Founder and CEO Jay Mays will move to the role of chairman of the board. In addition to Hale’s role at MPLT Healthcare, she currently serves as VP of the National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations as well as chair of the NALTO credentialing committee.

Guidant Global, part of Impellam Group, appointed Sara Gordon to lead client relationship management across its North American managed services, statement-of-work and recruitment process outsourcing business. Gordon will be serving as senior VP of client relationship management and as a member of the Guidant Global senior leadership team. Gordon has more than 18 years of staffing and outsourced recruitment industry experience, including leadership roles at Robert Half Talent Solutions and The Adecco Group. In 2020, Gordon appeared on Staffing Industry Analysts’ 40 Under 40 list.

Impellam Group also appointed John Falco to the newly created role of director of STEM sales in North America. Falco will oversee STEM sales initiatives across North America, including Impellam Group brands Bartech Staffing, Lorien and SRG. He comes to Impellam Group from Alku; before that, he had been at TEKsystems. Falco will report directly to Danny Cohen, managing director, STEM, North America.

AMS, a provider of RPO, talent acquisition and technology advisory services, promoted Jim Sykes to its executive team in the newly created role of global managing director, operations, leading candidate sourcing, administration, contingent workforce solutions and implementation and transformation. Sykes has been at AMS for 18 years.

FieldLink, a staffing firm focused on the low voltage and telecom industry, announced Jeff Greer as president. The role was created by FieldLink Managing Partners Joe Rosenfeld and Mike Schiano. Greer was previously a client of FieldLink as VP of operations for a national systems integrator.

Uniti Med has named Chad Crawford as VP of sales effective Feb. 1. Crawford joined the Uniti Med team with more than 15 years of healthcare staffing experience. Prior to Uniti Med, Crawford held several different leadership roles at Fusion Medical Staffing.

Avionté, a provider of enterprise staffing and recruiting software, named Chris Johnson as VP of its new professional services division. Johnson has more than 20 years of experience and previously led the outsourcing industry practice at Checkr. He has also held positions at Accenture, IBM and The Adecco Group.

ClearEdge Marketing, a PR, branding and digital agency specializing in talent acquisition and HR technology, promoted Lesly Cardec to senior VP of recruiting and marketing and Sarah Schunk to VP of client solutions. Cardec has nearly 20 years of experience leading marketing organizations for staffing companies, including the hiring and managing of marketing teams, and will lead the organization’s new executive search line of business designed for senior-level marketers. Schunk has extensive agency and staffing industry experience, and as a part of ClearEdge over the past 16 years, she has helped some of the largest staffing agencies with their go-to-market brands and message strategies.

Lukus Handshoe is the franchise owner of staffing provider AtWork’s new office in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Executive search firm StevenDouglas named Craig Lewis as senior VP of its interim resources division. Lewis brings more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain and professional services. He has worked at companies such as GE, Clorox and Exide.

Executive search firm ZRG added Gregg Davidoff as managing director to its life sciences practice. Davidoff founded Hanover Search Partners in 2006; he joins ZRG following the firm’s acquisition of Hanover in January. Davidoff has more than 20 years of experience.

Acre, a sustainability-focused recruitment and executive search firm, added New York-based Gloria Mirrione as head of sustainable finance and impact investing, Americas. Mirrione most recently was senior client partner at Korn Ferry, where she focused on asset management and co-led the ESG and impact investing practice. She has more than 20 years’ experience in professional services.
