1218 Inc. announced Managing Partner Tim Bosse will lead its new retained search firm, 1218 Search, which will leverage the company’s international network. Bosse, a senior executive and veteran of the staffing and recruiting industry for more than 20 years, has led recruitment initiatives within the healthcare, information technology, life sciences and energy industries. Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, 1218 also has offices in the UK and India.

Mondo, a provider of technology and marketing staffing, promoted Stephanie Wernick to VP of sales from national director of sales. Wernick joined Mondo in 2012 and previously held various other positions at Mondo, including account director and regional sales manager. She will be based in Mondo’s Philadelphia office.

The global employment services division of The Nelson Family of Companies, iWorkGlobal, hired Lisa Soughers to lead human resources. Soughers has more than 20 years of experience as a HR leader in a variety of industries and most recently was director of HR at Schurman Retail Group.

Corporate Information Systems, which targets enterprise software sales executives, systems engineers and sales leadership roles, hired three new executive recruiters. Fred Kressaty has decades of financial, commercial and international banking recruiting experience, as well as other verticals. Mike McNamara is a former IT professional and sales and customer service manager whose experience translates to IT and computer sales professionals placement. Rich Segrave, the owner and manager of Infinity Entertainment, has a background in sales, marketing and corporate events.

Resources Global Professionals, the operating subsidiary of Resources Connection Inc. (NASD: RECN), announced Michael Carberry joined the firm’s leadership team as managing director of the Carolinas practice. He will be responsible for leading the company’s growth and expansion strategy beginning in Charlotte, NC, and covering both North and South Carolina. Carberry started his career in New York City at Deloitte & Touche Audit and has spent the last 15 years at various consulting firms.

Executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles International Inc. (NASD: HSII) notified the US Securities and Exchange Commission that on Nov. 1, Mark Foster resigned from the board and the committees on which he served, effective immediately. Foster’s resignation did not involve any disputes or conflicts with management or with the board.

Executive search firm Isaacson, Miller announced Ericka Miller rejoined its executive search team as a VP and partner in its Washington, DC office. An expert in K-12 education and education policy, Miller previously served as a VP at Isaacson, Miller from 2005 to 2007. She left the firm to become VP of operations and strategic leadership at The Education Trust. From January 2015 until June 2015, during an extended confirmation process to be the assistant secretary for postsecondary education in the US Department of Education, she served as senior advisor to Secretary of Education Arne Duncan in the Department of Education. Her nomination was one of several that languished in the Senate; she withdrew from the process and joined The College Board as chief of membership, governance, and higher education.
