PageGroup plc, a UK-based staffing firm with global operations, announced the appointment of Nick Kirk as its CEO designate.

The company in April announced it had commenced a process to source a successor for its incumbent CEO, Steve Ingham. The appointment of Kirk follows a rigorous selection process by the board’s nomination committee, according to the company.

Kirk joined PageGroup in the UK as a consultant with Michael Page Sales in 1995 and was promoted to lead the brand in 2007. In 2009, he transferred to Page Personnel. After transforming its operating model, he became regional managing director of Michael Page Sales and Michael Page Finance in 2013.

In 2018, he became UK managing director and delivered significant progress in diversity, equity and inclusion. In January 2021, in addition to running all UK operations, Kirk became responsible for the PageGroup’s North American business, overseeing a record annual performance.

The appointment as CEO designate takes effect immediately; Kirk will become CEO and join the board on Jan. 1, 2023.

Steve Ingham was inducted into SIA’s Staffing 100 Europe Hall of Fame today.
