October 11, 2018

Ontario Premier Doug Ford recently announced that he will scrap an Ontario law that would increase the minimum wage to C$15 per hour and mandates equal pay for temporary employees among other things, according to a post by law firm McCarthy Tétrault LLP on Mondaq. The increase of the minimum wage to C$15 has already been postponed indefinitely; it has been set to rise to C$15 on Jan. 1. The law, based on Bill 148, is called the Fair Workplaces, Better Jobs Act, 2017.
