“We’re trying to create a future where people are more empowered; where they can work where they live and have access to economic opportunity,” Upwork CEO Stephane Kasriel told VentureBeat last week as the gig economy company held its initial public offering. Upwork ranks as the largest B2B human cloud/online staffing firm. “Millennials are going to be a freelancing generation,” Kasriel said. “More and more work will move online. We want to get even more companies trying it out.”
