Online education venture tries staffing push (The New York Times)

November 18, 2016

Online learning firm Udacity was founded by a pioneer in the self-driving car industry and had aimed to fill tech skills gaps, The New York Times reported. Now, the firm is trying its hand at job placement with a new program that offers brief contract assignments that last about three months. Udacity takes a 10% to 20% fee of those three-months’ salary, but does not collect a further finder’s fee if the person is hired by the client company.
