Registered nurse and truck driver jobs were among the top 10 jobs with the most new job ads posted by employers during July, according to an analysis by job board Monster. Meanwhile, the top 10 keyword searches by candidates included “work from home” and “customer service.”

Monster Economist Giacomo Santangelo also predicted that the Federal Reserve will continue its fight against inflation into the fall.

“The labor market’s resilience to past rate hikes as well as the recent news of stronger than expected GDP growth illustrates the overall strength of the US economy,” Santangelo said in a call. “As a result, the Federal Reserve is likely to continue raising rates further, as demonstrated by the July rate hike. The continued trend of increases in consumer prices outpacing wage growth erodes real incomes, impacting the general standard of living in the US. To counter this trend, the Federal Reserve will likely persist in raising rates.”
