New North Carolina law takes aim at IC misclassification (Lexology)

Workers in North Carolina who feel they are misclassified as independent contractors have a new mechanism to make complaints under a law signed by Gov. Roy Cooper earlier this month, according to a post on Lexology by Robin Shea of law firm Constangy Brooks Smith & Prophete. The law also make it easier for state agencies to pursue employers that misclassify workers.
