It appears to be the first case where a FedEx ground contractor has sued the firm under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act. One attorney said this case was set up as a fraud claim to avoid arbitration. FedEx told Reuters that it would vigorously defend itself in the lawsuit.
