Mastech Holdings Inc. (AMEX: MHH), a Pittsburgh-based information technology staffing firm, announced the sale of its Global Financial Services unit -- a subsidiary that provides staffing for back office operations in the brokerage industry.

"The divestiture of GFS will have a minimal impact on the company's overall profitability in 2010 and will allow management to better focus on the company's core IT staffing operations," said CEO Thomas Moran.

GFS' buyer is William Gorman, the former VP of the subsidiary. The deal closed Jan. 11.

The price was not announced.
