Employment on Demand Agency, a temporary employment agency based in Chelsea, Mass., settled a class-action lawsuit over alleged nonpayment of overtime when an employee was simultaneously placed at two businesses, allegedly working more than 40 hours per week at the two combined, according to a report in SouthCoast Today in New Bedford, Mass. The temporary agency denied wrongdoing but will pay $42,000 to settle the suit. A Superior Court judge approved the settlement Tuesday.
