October 17, 2017

ManpowerGroup’s (NYSE: MAN) longstanding board member Cari Dominguez was appointed this week to the US President’s Task Force on Apprenticeship Expansion. The new task force, created as a result of the President Donald Trump’s executive order in June on “Expanding Apprenticeships in America,” will provide recommendations to improve and promote apprenticeships nationwide.

“ManpowerGroup is very pleased that Cari Dominguez has been appointed to the president’s new Task Force on Apprenticeship Expansion,” said ManpowerGroup Chairman and CEO Jonas Prising. “With technology rapidly transforming the US economy and in-demand skills changing faster than ever, we are pleased to support all efforts to fast-track upskilling and reskilling to ensure Americans are ready for the jobs of the future.”

The task force, announced Monday by US Secretary of Labor Alexander Acosta, includes representatives from business, trade and industry groups, educational institutions and labor unions.

“The members of the Task Force on Apprenticeship Expansion will provide varied perspectives that will help guide the Administration’s strategy on growing apprenticeship programs nationwide,” Acosta said.

Dominguez is currently a member of ManpowerGroup’s executive compensation and human resources committee and president at Dominguez & Associates. Previously, she was the United States’ 12th Chair of the EEOC from 2001 to 2006, and the first to have a workforce management background.
