Malone Workforce Solutions buys AllStaff in deal that almost doubles revenue

September 15, 2017

Malone Workforce Solutions acquired AllStaff (formerly Select Staffing of Illinois) and its subsidiaries. The addition almost doubles Malone’s estimated annual revenue to more than $330 million.

The transaction closed Sept. 7 and took effect Sept. 11; terms were not disclosed. The AllStaff brand will remain and its executives will stay with the company.

AllStaff is headquartered in Schaumburg, Ill.

Louisville will remain the headquarters for Malone and AllStaff will continue to operate with its current leadership and locations.

“We are very excited about the clients and employees of AllStaff and want them to successfully continue to operate as they are today,” said Malone co-owner Terry Malone.

With the acquisition, Malone now counts 71 offices and clients in more than 40 states. The firm’s targeted sectors include light industrial, skilled industrial, hospitality, clerical, executive search and recruiting, IT, healthcare, behavioral, education, and government.

Malone’s stated focus is to grow in the US and previously acquired OmniSource Staffing — which also targeted the light industrial staffing sector —  in March of this year. This followed the August 2016 acquisition of Nextaff LLC, a franchise-model staffing agency based in Kansas City. In the short term, Malone will focus on creating synergies between the two companies to maximize earnings and is not actively pursuing any other acquisitions. However, as the dust settles, synergies are created and debt reduced, it will consider additional strategic acquisitions, according to Terry Malone.

“We are excited to purchase such a solid staffing business with excellent talent and look forward to growing our business nationally with this addition,” he said. “Malone is performing well and this acquisition will only improve the geographic footprint and overall health of our company.”

Both Malone and AllStaff rank on Staffing Industry Analyst’ list of largest industrial staffing firms in the US, at No. 28 and No. 30 respectively.
