Major, Lindsey & Africa completed its acquisition of Hire an Esquire, a Philadelphia-based legal staffing provider.

Plans call for Major, Lindsey & Africa to incorporate Hire an Esquire’s online platform into its operations. The platform analyzes candidates’ profiles and experience to match them with interim and permanent opportunities.

“As the value of a technology-based approach in legal recruiting continues to increase, this acquisition represents an important step in MLA’s strategic growth plan,” said Kirsten Keegan Vasquez, partner and VP of law firm recruiting and interim legal talent, at Major, Lindsey & Africa.

Hire an Esquire was founded in 2011 and has nine employees across four offices. All nine will join Major, Lindsey & Africa.

“From the perspective of individual lawyers and legal professionals, this will allow our candidates to better identify career opportunities that align with their experiences and strengths, and that ultimately set them up for a higher degree of success,” said Nesli Orhon, executive director of interim legal talent at Major, Lindsey & Africa.

The deal was announced today. Major, Lindsey & Africa, the ninth-largest US staffing firm, is a part of the Allegis Group, the largest US staffing firm.
