MAU Workforce Solutions intends to acquire Atlanta-based staffing provider FutureStaff. The transaction, which is scheduled to close May 1, expands MAU’s footprint to the Atlanta market and lays a broader strategic foundation for expansion across the US and in global markets.

The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed, but the combined company expects revenue this year to exceed $315 million and will have more than 260 internal direct employees.

The firms are working together on a brand integration strategy but the FutureStaff brand will initially remain and transition to the MAU Workforce Solutions name over time.

FutureStaff provides contingent staffing, temp-to-hire and direct hire services primarily in the manufacturing/logistics and administrative/office services segments. This acquisition will expand its service offerings, capabilities and markets.

The plan is for all of FutureStaff leadership to remain on staff. President Lee Whetstone will move into a role as part of the executive business development team once the transition is complete.

The acquisition of FutureStaff will increase MAU’s presence to 11 company-owned locations in Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee and Utah. Globally, the company provides service in 48 countries and six continents through worldwide recruiting partners.

MAU is based in Augusta, Ga., and provides staffing, recruiting, outsourcing and consulting solutions throughout many industries worldwide. It specializes in industrial manufacturing, and has experience in call center and customer service support, administrative, automotive, finance and accounting, as well as the IT and medical fields.
