Longship Group finalized its acquisition of Lawton Group, a healthcare and office/professional staffing firm based in San Diego.

The new leader of the Lawton Group’s operations will be Katherine Sullivan of Longship Group’s healthcare division.

“With Lawton Group’s prior 35-plus years of outstanding service in Southern California, I can’t wait to see the positive impact this acquisition will have for the nearly 30,000 people and 1,000 clients Lawton Group has supported with rewarding employment over the years,” Sullivan said.

The acquisition introduces a new service into Longship Group’s suite of product offerings in the healthcare sector by providing nonclinical healthcare solutions.

“With Katherine’s leadership and the support of a seasoned management team, this expansion to Longship Healthcare is well-equipped to grow and achieve its ambitions in the short and long term,” Longship CEO Zach Collier said.

Longship Group is a staffing provider based in Orlando, Florida. This is the second recent acquisition for the company. In July, it announced the acquisition of CareStaf, Overland Park, Kansas-based healthcare staffing firm.
