Lexitas, a Houston-based provider of litigation support services including legal staffing, acquired Evolution Process Service, an Indianapolis-based process service agency.

“This acquisition opens a new market for Lexitas and will allow us to build upon Evolution Process Service’s stellar reputation while giving their client base additional litigation support services,” Lexitas CEO Gary Buckland said in a press release.

The deal was announced on Nov. 21.

Lexitas has announced several acquisitions in the past year. They are Imagine Reporting, Elite-Brentwood Reporting Services, Enright Court Reporting, HIQ Corporate Services Inc. and Trac – The Registered Agent Co., and AdvancedOne.

In addition to legal staffing, Houston-based Lexitas also provides court reporting, record retrieval, process service, registered agent, document review and commercial contracts outsourcing.
