Kforce names new chief operating officer and CFO, Mitchell to exit firm

September 14, 2023

Kforce Inc. (NASDAQ: KFRC), a Tampa, Florida-based provider of IT and finance/accounting staffing, named a new chief operating officer and CFO. It also announced the departure of its chief operations officer, according to a regulatory filing on Sept. 7.

The company appointed David Kelly as chief operating officer and corporate secretary; he had previously served as CFO. Taking over the CFO position is Jeffrey Hackman, who previously served as senior VP of finance and accounting. Hackman also serves as principal accounting officer.

Both appointments became effective Sept. 7.

Kelly had served as CFO since January 2013 and as corporate secretary since February 2013; he joined Kforce in 2000. Hackman had served as senior VP of finance and accounting since March 2015 and as principal accounting officer since October 2015.

In addition, Kye Mitchell, who had served as chief operations officer, will no longer be with the firm as of Sept. 22 due to an internal reorganization at the firm.

Mitchell had served as chief operations officer since 2016. Prior to that, she had served as chief operations officer for the East region from January 2013 to March 2016. She initially joined the company in 2005 when Kforce acquired VistaRMS, where she served as president. Mitchell has appeared on the 2022 Global Power 150 Women in Staffing list.

Correction: The new title of David Kelly was changed to chief operating officer in the first paragraph.
