July 31st nomination deadline for list to honor contingent workforce managers

Large companies are increasing the percentage of their workforces that is contingent, according to recent research by Staffing Industry Analysts. When asked, large buyers of staffing services said contingent workers comprise 20% of the workforce at their firms (the median response) — that number has doubled from 2012, when 10% of companies' total workforce was contingent, according to a similar survey conducted then.

As the benefits of using a flexible workforce are becoming apparent, more companies are jumping on the contingent bandwagon. Contingent workforce management is now a profession. For the first time, SIA is celebrating these managers — CW professionals who oversee this growing pool of workers — through its Contingent Workforce Program Game Changers list.

The list aims to recognize buyers of staffing services who have make a significant contribution to the management and evolution of the contingent workforce within their program and industrywide.
