Jobs with biggest pay hikes, most people likely to quit: Payscale

December 14, 2023

Customer service assistant managers and job coaches ranked among the top 10 jobs in terms of wage growth, according to a report from Payscale. The study also found the jobs from which people are most likely to quit and seek a new job. Several healthcare and technology roles were among those with the highest percentages of people seeking to move on.

“Today’s job market can be summed up in one word: maddening,” Payscale Chief People Officer Lexi Clarke said in a press release. “While the job market has cooled, the spirit of the Great Resignation is still very much alive. Job openings are receiving a flood of applications, but in an uncertain economy, hiring managers are not willing to take risks, which is slowing down hiring processes and creating anxiety in job seekers.”

Job coaches made the list of hot jobs for the first time this year, which proves how prevalent the frustration is among workers, Clarke said.

Payscale’s lists are based on employee-reported data from 774,307 US workers who completed a salary profile between Nov. 1, 2022, and Oct. 31, 2023.
