Investment firm buys UltraForce Staffing Services of North Carolina

October 16, 2017

The William Gaston Fund, a private investment fund managed by Gaston Capital of Belmont, NC, purchased UltraForce Staffing Services, a North Carolina professional staffing firm.

UltraForce has offices in Gastonia, Shelby and Lincolnton, NC. The company provides staffing on a temporary, temp-to-hire or a direct-hire basis as well as recruiting for engineering, accounting and other professional positions.

Neal Mitchell, who has served in a financial capacity with the company, assumed the dual roles of CEO and CFO; long-time Ultra Force executive John Finger was promoted to president of the firm.

Plans for the firm include potential expansions into Hickory and Gaffney, NC, and a campaign to help highlight the employment opportunities available in the market.

“This region is one of the fastest growing in the country and people are moving here in record numbers,” said Gaston Capital President Mick McMahan. “We want to help get the word out that we have both good jobs available in this area and qualified candidates to help new industries that may be considering moving to the area.”

Gaston Capital Partners invests in companies that are primarily located in the eastern US. Investment size is between $2 million and $10 million and targeted industries include business and industrial services, healthcare, niche manufacturing, and financial services.
