Industrial Staffing Services Inc., part of the Staffing-the-Universe Family of Companies, acquired the assets of Virtual Resource Management Corp., effective June 12. The acquisition increases the core abilities of Industrial Staffing Services and provides a physical team and office in key geographic locations. 

Virtual Resource targets contract staffing and direct hire in several industry verticals, with an emphasis in the power and utility, engineering, and IT industries. It has offices in Harrisburg, Pa., and Houston.

The Virtual Resource Management brand will not remain; CEO Glenn McClain will join Industrial Staffing Services as managing director of sales, based in the Houston Office. The company’s entire senior management team will also remain.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Industrial Staffing is headquartered in East Brunswick, NJ, with additional offices in Manhattan and Laguna Hills, Calif., as well as the new location in Houston. Both firms are Nationally Certified Woman Business Enterprises and operate nationwide using a remote model.
