Today, iCIMS, a Holmdel, New Jersey-based talent cloud company, announced the acquisition of SkillSurvey, a Malvern, Pennsylvania-based skills verification and digital reference checking provider.

SkillSurvey provides cloud-based reference checking and automated candidate skills verification to more than 2,300 companies.

With the acquisition of SkillSurvey, iCIMS’ community of more than 4,000 customers can reduce the time and cost of traditional reference checking.

“Joining iCIMS will provide our customers with deeper support and innovative solutions across the entire talent journey, and we will be able to help more organizations transform burdensome processes into streamlined, automated business practices,” said SkillSurvey President and CEO Ray Bixler.

SkillSurvey was founded in 2001; investors included Primus Capital and PNC Erieview Capital.

The terms of the transaction were not announced.
