HireGenics named Andrew Preston as CEO for the UK, EMEA and Asia Pacific regions. Preston has more than 20 years of experience in managed service, outsourcing and technology-enabled people businesses. Prior to joining HireGenics, Preston was CEO of Geometric Results Inc. He has also appeared in SIA’s European Staffing 100. Meanwhile, Art Knapp and Brian Soderholm will continue to serve as HireGenics’ CEO and CRO, respectively. HireGenics, based in Atlanta, provides MSP, direct sourcing, employer-of-record/payrolling and other services.

Spherion Staffing and Recruiting, a staffing franchisor, appointed Michael Boyle as senior VP, overseeing business strategy. Boyle’s past experience includes serving as president of IT services at RCM Technologies Inc.

Private equity firm Waud Capital Partners named Alice Hurh as principal within its human capital team. Hurh previously was a partner at Heidrick & Struggles International Inc. and has nearly 20 years of executive search and talent advisory experience.

Gabriel Garcia is the new branch manager of HR/admin contract at Addison Group’s San Antonio branch.

Diversified Search Group named Julie Kanak as leader of the firm’s agribusiness practice. Kanak had previously worked at a boutique agribusiness search firm.

HVS Executive Search appointed Matt Black as VP. Black is based in New York City and has more than eight years of experience in leading senior and executive-level searches for hospitality and restaurant brands. Previously, Black worked as an external search partner for many chef-driven restaurant groups, hotels, real estate owners/operators and food tech brands.

Industry funding provider Access Capital Inc. named Brian Sheehy as VP and a member of its business development team. Sheehy will report to Raphael Torres, head of business development. Sheehy is based in Los Angeles.
