Hays Talent Solutions hired Gary Cornick to serve in a new role at the firm as managing director of the Americas.

Hays Talent Solutions provides RPO, MSP and statement-of-work services. It’s part of Hays plc, the London-based firm that ranks as the sixth-largest staffing firm in the world.

Cornick is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, and he formally began this month.

“Gary’s experience of building businesses in the human capital space across the Americas will be an invaluable addition to our fast-growing Americas business,” said Global Hays Talent Solutions Managing Director Matthew Dickason.

Cornick previously served as executive VP at TalentWave, an independent workforce solutions provider. Before that, he founded and served as president of PeopleWise, a pre-employment screening company providing online databases and automated background-screening services. He also served as vice chairman at VMS/MSP provider WorkforceLogic.

The hiring of Cornick follows an announcement last month that Hays Talent Solutions hired Kimball Norup as is new senior VP, head of growth. Norup had also come from TalentWave, where he was senior VP marketing.
