H-1B visa fraud hotline gets more than 5,000 tips (Newsweek)

US Citizenship and Immigration Services received more than 5,000 tips reporting alleged H-1B visa fraud and abuse through a hotline set up last year, spokesperson Philip Smith told Newsweek. The Fraud Detection and National Security Directorate, which fronts USCIS’s efforts to combat immigration fraud, launched the email helpline after President Donald Trump signed his “Buy American, Hire American” executive order last year.
