GrubMarket announced last week that it acquired Pacific Farm Management, a provider of payroll, workers’ comp and staffing services in California, Oregon and Arizona. GrubMarket is a San Francisco-based food technology company.

PFM has more than 2,500 year-round employees and 3,500 employees at peak times. It’s based in Madera, California.

“Labor is not only a critical component in agricultural, but also oftentimes the costliest,” said Mike Xu, CEO of GrubMarket. “The PFM team has successfully captured opportunities in this changing landscape by investing considerable time and resources to create unique programs for its client's operations and became a leader in California.”

The PFM management team will join GrubMarket.
