Government drops investigation into Uber’s practices in several Asian countries

Uber Technologies Inc. (NYSE: UBER) reported the US Department of Justice closed an investigation into the company over possible violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and will not be taking any enforcement action against the company, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company had previously announced the investigation by the fraud section of the division.

Operations under investigation were in Indonesia, Malaysia, China and India, according to the filing.
