Background screening provider Global HR Research, a Renovo Capital company, acquired Newfields, NH-based easyBackgrounds.

The acquired company provides background screening solutions on a national basis. Global HR Research also operates globally and is based in Fort Myers, Fla.

The transaction closed mid-August; terms were not disclosed. The easyBackgrounds brand will remain.

Don Jungerman, managing partner of Renovo Capital, said the acquisition is a great fit for its expansion strategy, which includes a vision of using growth to improve technology, solutions and more. Renovo is a Dallas-based private equity fund.
