Gig economy platform provider Serveture rebrands to WorkN

January 23, 2017

Serveture rebranded its gig economy platform for staffing firms to WorkN, effective Jan. 16. The firm’s app was already marketed under the WorkN name, and rebranding the company eliminates any confusion, according to founder and CEO Jakob Rohn.

The new brand name also better reflects its ability to serve a wide array of industries, in different job modes — call-offs, scheduled shifts and longer-term placements — and in flexibility, accommodating the rules, processes and preferences of underlying customers and workers.

WorkN’s app provides a platform to staffing firms looking to transition into the gig economy space. Rohn and Steve Blakely launched the company in 2015.

“It is often referred to as the gig economy, but we think it is more,” Rohn said. “Uber and others jump started the change in the ‘gig’ space but fundamentally this optimization will happen in a broader spectrum of working scenarios. WorkN was architected ground-up to power this transition by innovating the new mobile capabilities but fitting into the existing enterprise systems and processes that drive the staffing world today.”
