Getronics buys IT solutions and staffing firm Pomeroy

July 12, 2018

IT solutions and staffing provider Pomeroy announced that it was acquired by Getronics, a global information and communication technology integrator owned by Bottega InvestCo S.à r.l., whose founder and majority shareholder is Brazilian-American entrepreneur Nana Baffour. Getronics has nearly 9,000 employees in 23 countries across Europe, Asia Pacific and North America, and in Latin America under the Connectis brand.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Pomeroy is based in Hebron, Ky., and operates locations across the US targeting IT operations in the retail, healthcare, financial institutions, services and manufacturing sectors.

Combined revenue now reaches $1.3 billion, enabling Getronics to reach its goal of becoming a billion-dollar company two years earlier than originally planned, according to Baffour. The deal strengthens Getronics’ global footprint and bolsters the firm to 2,800 active clients and approximately 9,000 employees.

Pomeroy was sold by private investment firm Clearlake Capital Group LP.

“We are very proud to have partnered with the Pomeroy team as we successfully delivered on our original investment thesis to build a leading platform with significant scale,” Behdad Eghbali and James Pade of Clearlake said in a statement. “After our initial investment in July 2013, we worked closely with management to execute our buy-and-build strategy and significantly expand the company’s managed services platform.”

Pomeroy provides an integrated workplace-as-a-service platform and has a range of customers worldwide. It counts more than 2,400 technicians and 50,000 field support locations.
