Automaker General Motors on Monday said it cut “several hundred” contract employees, the Detroit Free Press reported. The workers were mostly full time and worked at the company’s Global Technical Center in Warren, Michigan, and other locations. The move follows a recent voluntary separation package accepted by 5,000 salaried employees.
