Former Cross Country executive’s lawsuit closes

April 08, 2019

Former executive Vickie Anenberg’s lawsuit against Cross Country Healthcare Inc. has been closed, according to court records.

Anenberg had served as president of Cross Country Staffing from 2012 to January 2018. The lawsuit claimed the company fired her after she rejected advances from a fellow executive and raised concerns about how revenue from staffing during a strike action was reported.

A mediator reported that both sides had reached an agreement on March 4, according to a filing with the Palm Beach County, Florida, Court. Both sides also filed a stipulation to dismiss the lawsuit with prejudice in a separate filing on April 4. The parties also stipulated that each will bear its own attorneys’ fees and costs.

Anenberg initially filed the case last year.

The lawsuit alleged a fellow executive caused the company to fire Anenberg after she spurned his advances at a December 2015 Christmas party and because she raised concerns about how the company characterized revenue in 2016 from staffing a hospital strike. Anenberg’s lawsuit also alleged the company used the acquisition of healthcare staffing firm Advantage RN to muddy the financial waters.
